In a world full of smoke and mirrors and pretend, it’s become hard to be open and honest about our imperfections, even with ourselves. Sometimes we go through life ignoring or not willing to face the parts of ourselves we don’t like. It’s so easy to dress up and create a fantasy world on Social Media because we want everyone to think that we have it all together. How do I know? I use to live like that and believe me, it’s hard work. I’ve learned the hard way that you can’t run from yourself. It’s impossible to escape you. Since you can’t escape you, you might as well learn how to overcome the things about you that you don’t like. It’s the hardest thing you will ever do for yourself but the journey is worth it. I had every excuse to give up on life. Straight out the gate, my life wasn’t set up to win. My father only came to see me one time, a week after my birth. Four years later he was murdered. Later on, I experienced horrific abuse at the hands of my mother’s boyfriend. Because of those two things, I started experiencing low self-esteem, depressions, and suicidal thoughts. Let’s just say, for the most part, my life hasn’t been fun. Journey with me through this book to find out how I became FLAWESOME despite my flaws and how you can also become FLAWESOME despite your flaws no matter your age, race, gender, or background.
